ОКНОДОМ (Viknodim) is an official partner of REHAU and VEKA. The company’s main office is at 4a Vladyslava Dombrovskoho St (formerly Zheliabova), and the Buvalkina showroom covers Poskot, Luzanivka, Peresyp and Kryzhanivka.

What the buildings in Poskot mean for your windows

Most of Kotovskoho was built between the late 1960s and the late 1980s. These are prefabricated panel buildings of 5, 9, 10, 12 and 16 floors. For example, the buildings at 3–11 Yaroslava Baisa St (formerly Vysotskoho) were completed in 1989, and the 16-floor block at 13 Baisa in 1980. Between 2008 and 2015 monolithic and brick residential complexes went up: Grand Park at 24 Heroiv Oborony Odesy St, Smarahdove Misto at 36 Sakharova St, Novyi Kvartal at 21b Buvalkina St.

In panel flats of that era you usually find windows fitted in the 2000s with worn hardware and dried-out seals. The openings are uneven, so the installation gap often ends up wider than the standard allows, and air leaks along the joint between the frame and the panel even when the window itself is fine.

Roman Matiukha, installer:

In Poskot, half the “my window is drafty” calls are fixed without replacing anything. We change the seal, adjust the sash pressure, sometimes redo the joint under the sill. We replace the window when the frame is cracked or the sash has warped too far to adjust.

Ruslan Lemeshonok, surveyor:

When I measure a panel flat, I look at the reveals and the joint with the wall first, and the window second. If the draft comes through the joint, a new window in the same opening will keep leaking unless the joint is redone. So I build three-layer installation with a vapour barrier tape on the inside into the quote, not just foam.

The neighbourhood is a 15–20 minute walk from the sea and Luzanivka beach. Wind is stronger on the upper floors, so for 12- and 16-floor buildings we recommend a profile with steel reinforcement of at least 1.5 mm and a double-chamber (triple-pane) unit. Lower floors along Semena Paliia St (formerly Dnipropetrovska Road) and Kniazia Volodymyra Velykoho Ave (formerly Dobrovolskoho) get more traffic noise, and there a unit with different glass thicknesses helps, for example 6 mm outside and 4 mm inside.

Window prices in Kotovskoho in 2026

The prices below come from the ОКНОДОМ price list for REHAU profile. They cover the product only. Installation, reveals, sill, drip cap and removal of old windows are quoted after measuring, because they depend on the opening.

Product Size, mm Product price, UAH
Single-sash window 600×1200 from 3,600
Two-sash window 1330×1410 from 6,050
Three-sash window 1760×1420 from 7,300
Balcony unit (door and window) 1440×2200 from 11,200

The two-sash 1330×1410 is the most common size for kitchens and rooms in Poskot panel flats. VEKA and Aluplast windows cost about the same, WDS is cheaper. Across Odesa a window of this size ranges from 2,550 to 13,000 UAH, and the difference is almost always the profile, the number of panes, the hardware brand, and whether installation is included. When you compare offers, ask for a turnkey quote with those lines listed separately.

The window calculator or a surveyor visit gives the exact price for your opening. The surveyor brings profile and hardware samples, so you can choose at home and compare with what you have now.

If your windows were blown out by a strike

Peresyp district, which includes Poskot, has been hit several times. On January 1, 2024 a building at 54 Akademika Zabolotnoho St was damaged. In April 2024, 58 flats in 22 buildings in the district were damaged, and 89 people applied for window and door repairs. On April 11, 2026, about 60 windows in 9 buildings in Peresyp district were blown out.

The state program eRecovery (єВідновлення) pays compensation for damaged windows and doors. As of February 2026 the limit is 350,000 UAH for a flat and 500,000 UAH for a private house. The process:

  1. Apply in the Diia app (Ukrainian government services app).
  2. A commission inspects the property and sets the amount.
  3. The money is credited to an eRecovery card.
  4. You choose a contractor from the program’s register and pay with the card.
  5. After the repair you report in Diia once at least 90% of the amount is spent.

You have 12 months for the repair if the amount is up to 200,000 UAH, and 18 months if it is more. Tetiana Abyieva, showroom manager at 2 Buvalkina St:

Most people come in after the commission has visited but before the money arrives. We measure and prepare the estimate in advance, and as soon as the money is on the card, we send the order to production. That saves a week or two.

Viknodim is in the contractor register, and we accept the card at the Buvalkina showroom and at the main office. Documents and deadlines are explained on the eRecovery page.

While you wait for the commission, cover the opening with plastic film or OSB board and photograph the damage before cleaning up. Do not knock the remaining glass out of the frame: the surviving part of the profile shows the commission and the installer whether the frame can be kept and only the glass unit replaced.

Window repair and adjustment without replacement

If the window is intact but drafty, hard to close or fogging up, a repair is usually enough. Typical Odesa prices in 2026:

Problem Fix Odesa market price, UAH
Draft around the sash pressure adjustment 300–500 per sash
Seal hardened or cracked seal replacement 70–200 per running metre
Sash sagging, catches the frame hinge adjustment, hardware replacement from 400
Cracked glass, condensation inside the unit glass unit replacement from 550 labour plus the unit
Balcony door won’t stay in position adjustment, new stay arm or handle 500–520

The technician gives the exact price after inspection. Repair of uPVC, aluminium and wooden windows is described on the repair and adjustment page.

Entry doors and aluminium doors

The Buvalkina showroom displays aluminium door samples. These doors go on building entrances, shops and ground-floor offices, where a door opens hundreds of times a day and uPVC loosens quickly. An aluminium door can be fitted with an intercom, a door closer and laminated safety glass.

For a flat, people usually choose a steel entry door. Ready-made models in Odesa cost 12,000 to 35,000 UAH without installation. In Poskot panel buildings the opening often has to be adjusted: the old frame is cut out, the wall levelled, sometimes widened. Discuss this at the measuring visit, otherwise a catalogue door may not fit.

uPVC doors are used for balconies, private houses and terraces. Interior doors are also available from the interior doors catalogue.

Balconies and loggias in Poskot

Balconies in 1970s–80s buildings are narrow, and many owners want to extend them. There are two options. Cold glazing with sliding aluminium frames keeps out rain and dust, but the balcony stays cold in winter. Warm glazing with uPVC plus insulated floor and parapet turns the balcony into part of the room. On the top floor the balcony needs a roof canopy, otherwise water runs down the wall.

Extension, insulation and roofing options are covered on the balcony extension and balcony insulation pages.

Showroom, market stall or home visit

In Poskot, windows are sold in showrooms on Akademika Zabolotnoho and Buvalkina streets and in market pavilions at 99b and 125a Semena Paliia St. The contract shows the difference.
