Toilet cubicles and shower partitions made to size for a warehouse in Ovidiopol

Toilet partitions usually get ordered at the last moment: the tiles are on, the toilets are fitted, and the opening date for the office, workshop or warehouse is already set. The owner needs cubicles that fit the room exactly, survive daily wet cleaning and still look fine a year later. If a company is paying, the contract, invoice and completion certificates have to arrive on time too. Below I use our Ovidiopol project to explain what drives the price, which panel goes in a toilet and which in a shower, and which sizes to plan for.

What the client in Ovidiopol needed
The full job: make and install toilet cubicles and shower partitions to the client’s drawings.
The client is a warehouse at 4 Kolisnichenka St in Ovidiopol, Odesa region. The cubicles and partitions went into two staff rooms. The first has a row of toilet cubicles. The second is a shower room with several places, where each shower needs side partitions and a curtain across the front.
All dimensions came from the client’s drawings. For the manufacturer that means each panel is cut for one specific spot instead of adjusting a standard module. A few centimetres off and it shows at once: a gap at the wall, a door catching the next panel, or a shower partition that stops short of the floor drain.
What the rooms looked like before installation
When we arrived, the rooms were finished: tiles, ceiling, sanitary ware and floor drains were all in.
The toilet room already had toilets, a urinal, a washbasin and a water heater, with walls in grey decorative plaster. The cubicles had to go in without touching the supply pipes or drilling extra holes in the finished surfaces.
The shower room is a long room with a window at the end. The mixers run along one wall and there are two linear drains in the floor. The partitions had to sit between the shower places exactly on the mixer axes, with legs clear of the water flow.

Prices come from our quotes for the Ovidiopol project and include VAT. For chipboard, the price per metre covers the aluminium profile and stainless steel hardware; delivery and installation of the two cubicles cost a separate 6 500 UAH. The total depends on the number of cubicles, panel height, number of doors, hardware and profile type, chipboard colour, and delivery outside Odesa. We give an exact quote after measuring the room, or from your drawings if you already have them.
A tip from practice: when you compare quotes, ask what the price per metre includes. Sometimes it covers only the board, while hardware, profile and installation are charged separately, and the final figure looks very different.

For every room we prepare a quote with a drawing, so the client sees the sizes, specification and total before signing the contract.
For the warehouse toilet room we priced our Lite+ system: two cubicles in a row along a 2000 mm wall, 1200 mm deep, with 600 mm doors. The 1830 mm panels stand on 170 mm legs, with extra legs on the end posts. The frame is anodised aluminium profile, and the handle, latch and hinges are stainless steel.

18 mm or 25 mm chipboard for toilet cubicles
18 mm moisture-resistant chipboard is enough for most washrooms. 25 mm is for places that need stiffer panels.
Moisture-resistant chipboard differs from the ordinary kind in its core board. Under EN 312, class P3 is a board for use in humid conditions. Viyar, the board supplier we pick decors from, rates P3 for rooms with humidity up to 85%: kitchens, bathrooms, balconies. That is the 18 mm board in the Ovidiopol cubicles.
25 mm chipboard is thicker and heavier. Doors flex less, and long panels keep their shape without extra supports. In the supplier’s range, however, 25 mm comes only as a standard board with no moisture-resistant version. So we recommend 25 mm for toilet cubicles, not for showers where water hits the panel all the time.

Chipboard colours for toilet cubicles
We choose the colour with the client from the Viyar board catalogue. Washrooms usually get light plain decors that hide cleaning streaks, or greys that match the tiles. The Ovidiopol cubicles are light grey to match the walls.

We check that a decor is available in the required thickness before ordering, as some boards are supplied to order. A standard sheet is 2800 × 2070 mm, so panels up to 2070 mm high need no joints.
Shower partitions from sandwich panels
We don’t use chipboard in showers. A PVC sandwich panel takes the water without harm.
A sandwich panel has an insulating core between two PVC sheets. PVC doesn’t absorb water, doesn’t swell at the edges and cleans with ordinary detergents. In Ovidiopol we fitted 20 mm panels into an aluminium profile. The profile holds the panel around its edges, and an aluminium rail for the curtain runs above each shower place.
We work with 20 mm and 24 mm panels. Three 800 × 1800 mm partitions in 20 mm sandwich for Ovidiopol were quoted at 20 000 UAH incl. VAT, or 6 667 UAH each. A 24 mm panel is thicker and vibrates less when a partition is tall or stands away from the wall on a leg; we price it per project.

The floor gap isn’t just a rule. Cleaners mop all cubicles in one pass under it, and air moves better. Public washrooms need an accessible cubicle under DBN V.2.2-40, so if the building will be checked for accessibility, we put its size into the plan from the start.
Hardware and profile
The Ovidiopol cubicles have stainless steel hardware: hinges, turn-knob locks and support legs. Stainless steel doesn’t rust from wet cleaning or chlorine detergents, so no orange stains appear a year later. Aluminium profile covers the chipboard edges top and bottom, and a rounded corner profile protects the cubicle corners from knocks.
On a floor that slopes to the drain, we level each post separately so the doors don’t swing open on their own.
